M/S Henrik Ibsen®

M/S Henrik Ibsen® is a historic cruise ship from 1907 and is considered an attraction in itself, in addition to being a means of transport on the Telemark Canal. The vessel is a carefully restored veteran ship, upgraded to meet modern standards and expectations while preserving its unique heritage.

The lower and upper sections of the canal opened in 1861 and 1892, and along this waterway you’ll find both M/S Henrik Ibsen® and Dalen Hotel from 1894. Together, they create a magnificent historical travel experience, slow travel at its finest, surrounded by nature and cultural heritage.
